This little guy has been flitting around the yard for the last several months. He gets my attention every time, because he seems to crash through the leaf litter and branches louder than any of the other gray squirrels. It makes me smile...every time I see him (or her).
Where are all the birds at the feeder?
Every now and then this winter, as I sat at my desk in front of the family room window, I'd see these three slowly meander down from the woods across the street and check out the seed du jour at the feeder. Unfortunately they never hung around long, due to the cars that fly down the road. I still find it amazing that so many of these large animals (maybe half a million) are hiding all over the place!
